A few days ago lunch time was drawing near, and I thought to myself, "Boy I'd really love to have a burrito. Too bad we don't have one." I opened up the refrigerator meat compartment drawer and suddenly saw a Taco Bell bag. At that moment, I remembered I had bought a chicken burrito one night and had forgotten to eat it for the lunch the next day. Two days later...there sat my chicken burrito waiting to be eaten! I guess God knew I wanted a burrito that particular day, but He also used it to teach me a valuable lesson at a VERY opportune time!
There are times when we all feel like we really want something, and we've wanted it for a very long time, but it seems like we will never get it. That was pretty much the way I was feeling that day. I was worried..."Will God ever answer this prayer and desire?" When I opened up the refrigerator door it was as if God was speaking right to my heart saying, "Look there it is! I knew you wanted it. You had no idea I had it here for you all along...why it was practically under your nose! I heard your desire and answered it before you even thought that's what you wanted." I started to smile and my day suddenly brightened because I KNEW in my heart that God was using that chicken burrito to teach me a very important lesson about trust in Him that day. Trust that He will never let me down and trust that He will bring my answer at just the right time.
So next time you are feeling like down and like that particular "burrito" will never be given to you, remember God sees the big picture. He knows your heart and desires and will bring you the perfect means to satisfy that desire! God sees your chicken burrito!
